Description
Professional Identity Formation (PIF) is the development of a distinct personality within one's field of work. Medical schools have been placing greater emphasis on PIF - the development of desired values and attitudes --since the release of the Carnegie Report (2010). A Community pf Practice (CoP) is a proven way of fostering identity development that also meets the needs of the organization through the development of desired values, attitudes and behaviors. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together our physician educators to explore the impact this has on medical education with the goal of information educational practice.
