This is a free symposium open to area optometrists to learn and discuss with the Ophthalmologists from Stony Brook Medicine in an effort to enhance patient care. 

Lunch will be provided.  Space is limited.

Objectives

  • Focus on new advances in the clinical and basic science fields of Ophthalmology.
  • Understand techniques of diagnosis and medical/surgical therapy.
  • Provide a forum for group discussion of medical situations the optometrists deal with in patient care.
  • Discuss updated ways to care for patients as well as when to refer to the ophthalmologist for further patient care.
