Description

This conference will cover an overview of the most common CNS infections from bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites including macroscopic features, microscopic features, imaging (if applicable), ancillary testing, and relevant clinical information required for diagnosis.

Objectives

1. Identify gross and microscopic features of bacterial infections of the central nervous system.


2. Distinguish etiologies of fungal infections based on clinical information and microscopic features of infection.


3. Identify features of viral and parasitic infections of the central nervous system and distinguish between the two.
