Description
OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives
Describe the criteria for diagnosis of first trimester pregnancy loss, including the rationale and goal of minimizing false positives
Discuss the implications/impact of early pregnancy loss
Describe the methods for management of early pregnancy loss
Understand the process for procedural management of early pregnancy loss, including use of local anesthesia and manual vacuum aspiration (MVA)Be able to explain the pros and cons of treatments for use in patient-centered counseling for early pregnancy loss
