Description
OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives
1. Increase Awareness of Health Disparities: Educate physicians on the current state of health disparities in obstetrics and gynecology, including statistics on maternal and infant mortality rates, access to care, and the impact of socioeconomic factors on health outcomes among diverse populations.
2. Identify Social Determinants of Health: Equip physicians with the knowledge to recognize and assess the social determinants of health that contribute to disparities in obstetric and gynecological care, emphasizing the role of race, ethnicity, income, education, and geographic location in influencing patient outcomes.
3. Implement Strategies for Equity in Care: Provide practical strategies and interventions that physicians can incorporate into their practice to address and mitigate health disparities, including culturally competent care, community engagement, and advocacy for policy changes that promote health equity in obstetrics and gynecology.
