1. Describe invasive neuromodulation approaches to psychiatric disease
2. Describe corticothalamic circuits supporting sensory representations and how the thalamus selects representations needed for cognition
3. Describe current models of auditory hallucinations and discuss how neurosurgical intervention may affect brain circuits driving hallucinations
