Head & Neck MultiD Tumor Board
Dates and Times
Start: 1/14/2025 7:00 AM
End: 1/14/2025 8:00 AM
Objectives
: At the end of this activity, participants should be better able to understand the interdisciplinary concerns of physicians taking care head and neck cancer patients and thyroid cancer patients. They should better understand the pathology, radiology. radiation oncology and medical oncology and surgical approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases and as well understand better the ancillary support services such speech pathology, swallow therapy, endocrinology, dental rehabilitation, prosthetics, etc. This activity provides a multidisciplinary round table, where all physicians involved in a patients care are able to understand each other's role and the decisions made for each patient. The Head & Neck Tumor Board is an on-going event and was established in order to gain a multidisciplinary understanding and treatment protocol for various complicated cancer patients and to find way to streamline and improve the patient care given in hospital and out-patient to these patients. We identified gaps in treatment processes through review of practice guidelines, national data, and publications. This CME activity was then designed to focus on addressing those needs
