Description

This session provides an introductory overview of remediation theories and practices in competency-based medical education. During this session we will discuss integrating supportive and strategic approaches to remediation of struggling
medical learners.

Objectives

After attending this workshop participants will be able to:
-Compare and contrast current approaches to learners’ failures and successes.
-Differentiate between remedial action and remediation in medical education.
-Describe effective remediation strategies for medical learners.
-Respond to varying degrees of learner difficulty/suboptimal performance.
