Objectives
- Understand the different etiologies of hypothermia for infants presenting to the Emergency Department within the first 90 days of life.
- Appreciate that there is heterogeneity among the studies evaluating hypothermic infants sin the ed, limiting the generalizability of results and development of clinical practice guidelines.
- Appreciate the low risk of serious bacterial infections in neonates with incidentally identified hypothermia at a routine visit.
