Objectives
Define key principles of precision medicine in the context of sepsis and discuss how heterogeneity in host response, pathogen burden, and clinical presentation influences patient outcomes.
Identify current barriers and limitations to precision medicine implementation in sepsis, including challenges in biomarker validation, patient stratification, and integration of omics data into clinical decision-making.
Describe emerging strategies and technologies—such as molecular endotyping, machine learning models, and real-time immunophenotyping—that are advancing the precision and personalization of sepsis diagnosis and treatment.
