Objectives

  1. To identify surgical options in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis)
  2. To compare outcomes between patients undergoing IPAA vs end ileostomy
  3. To determine the best operation for each patient with a total proctocolectomy

1. Discuss the differences between various meshes including their strengths and weaknesses
2. Choosing the right mesh for your patient when planning for surgical hernia repairs of the abdominal wall
