Rhabdomyolysis

Objectives
1. Provide an overview of the causes of rhabdomyolysis.
2. Discuss the mechanisms underlying rhabdomyolysis.
3. Review the clinical manifestations of rhabdomyolysis and how the diagnosis is made.
4. Outline mechanisms that injure the kidney such that acute kidney injury arises.
5. Review the critical considerations and salient approaches in the management of patients with rhabdomyolysis.
