Description
This session will explore practical skills and frameworks for delivering impactful written feedback that supports both trainees and review committees. We will examine common challenges in crafting effective feedback and highlight why high-quality feedback matters. Participants will gain tools to develop written feedback that is specific, actionable, and inclusive—ultimately fostering learner growth and accountability.

Objectives
1-Introduction to challenges with current feedback and why this is needed. Foster a constructive and respectful tone to support a positive learning environment in written communication.
2-Apply the ADAPT framework to structure written feedback that is actionable, balanced, and learner-centered.
3-Discuss key elements of effective feedback and explore methodology (BOSS)
4-Compare examples of non-helpful feedback with impactful feedback
5-Use clear and specific language by framing written feedback with Situation / Behavior / Impact (SBI) statements.
6-Implement inclusive writing practices to ensure feedback is respectful, equitable, and supports diverse learners.
7-Discuss "non"-traditional resources that can help with effective written feedback
