Description

This activity is designed to provide an opportunity for residents and faculty to review clinical case scenarios and correlate them with ultrasound findings, improving their understanding of and ability to interpret imaging and develop appropriate care based on findings.

Objectives

Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings consistent with proliferative endometrium and endometrial polyps.

Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings consistent with intramural myomas and submucous myomas.

Understand the utility of saline infusion sonography for evaluation of polyps and myomas.

Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings consistent with uterine anomalies including 3-D imaging of same.

Understand the utility of 3-D ultrasound in evaluation of uterine anomalies as well as polyps and myomas.

Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings consistent with hemorrhagic cysts.

Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings consistent with mature teratoma.

Recognize and understand the clinical presentation of adnexa torsion.
