Description
Each seminar will consist of a specialized topic chosen to illustrate interesting problems of diagnosis and management for both the clinical practitioner and the radiologist
Clinical-radiologic-pathologic correlation will be emphasized. The presentations are intended to stimulate audience discussion of challenging or controversial issues on a variety of topics of current medical interest.

Objectives
- Recognize the factors that lead to the initiation of medical malpractice lawsuits that involve radiology, the factors that influence all physicians to practice defensively, and how a balance between defensive and ethical medicine can be achieved.
- Learn the causes and the frequency of radiologists misinterpretation of diagnostic radiologic exams, and implement processes and techniques that will assist in minimizing if not eliminating perceptual and cognitive errors that lead to the "missing" of radiologic findings.
- Appreciate the importance of appropriate communication in radiology including not only transmitting results of examinations but also other issues such as curbstone consultations, informed consent, reporting complications, errors and mistakes, and making other disclosures important to patients.
