Description
Learn how to create inclusive and accessible documents using Microsoft Word. This hands-on workshop covers essential tools and best practices for making content readable and navigable for everyone. Topics include using styles, adding alt text to images, and using Microsoft's Accessibility Assistant. Participants are encouraged to bring at least one document they'd like to make accessible.

Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Locate and use the Accessibility Checker tool in Microsoft Word.
- Set appropriate heading styles to create a logical document structure.
- Develop properly formatted lists using built-in tools.
- Create new and edit AI-generated alternative text (alt text) for images to describe their content and function.
- Format accessible tables that have header rows and avoid merged or split cells.
- Check that text is readable by using sufficient color contrast.
