Description
The speaker will describe current changes on DSM 5 and how to request future updates.

Objectives
1. Understand the purpose of DSM5.
2. Discuss the scientific, clinical, and “political" basis for decisions leading to changes in the DSM5 from prior editions.
3. Understand the process to request changes in future updates and the process put in place by the American Psychiatric Association to evaluate the proposals.
