Description
This lecture will describe the guidelines for College of American Pathologists (CAP) Cytogenetics Inspection. The goal of the presentation is to have the audience understand the various categories involved and the requirements necessary to pass a Cytogenetics CAP inspection.

Objectives
1. The audience should have a basic understanding of the Cytogenetic categories involved in the CAP inspection process.
2. The audience should understand how a specimen follows through the laboratory.
3. The audience should be able to distinguish between the different types of deficiencies and their consequences.
