Description

Drs. Mahaffey, Viner and Ms. Lippman will present Psychiatry Grand Rounds on 5/22/18 regarding prevalence, risk factors and function in suicidal behaviors in patients with borderline personality disorder.

Objectives

1. Participants will be able to identify and describe the prevalence of, risk factors for, and function of suicidal behaviors in patients with borderline personality disorder.

2. Participants will be able to summarize the scientific literature supporting DBT for treating suicidality.

3. Participants will be able to identify the basic elements of the DBT treatment model and describe how suicidality is addressed in the context of the intervention.
