Objectives

1. To understand the neurophysiological monitoring techniques most commonly used in intraoperative monitoring including the neuroanatomical basis for potentials.
2. To recognize the alarm criteria for the monitoring techniques, including potential pitfalls that exist in the operative theater.
3. To be aware of evidence-based guidelines related to spinal IONM.
