Description

Ophthalmology Clinical Rounds consist of a 1.5 hour lecture time by faculty and invited speakers who focus on new advances in the clinical and basic science fields of Ophthalmology. Emphasis is placed on contemporary techniques of diagnosis and medical/surgical therapy. The sessions provide a forum for group discussion of difficult or interesting diagnostic/management problems encountered by the specialist.

Objectives

1) To learn how migraines can affect vision in different age groups.

2) Understand the importance of asking specific questions during eye exams.

3) Updates on treatments for migraine within ophthalmology.

"Managing Glaucoma Patients with Cataract Surgery" and "Glaucoma Surgical Complications and How to Fix Them"

Grand Rounds will consist of a 30 minute segment talk regarding the management of glaucoma patients with cataract surgery, followed by a discussion session; as well as another 30 minute segment talk on surgical complications with glaucoma and methods of fixing them, which will also be followed by a discussion session.
