Description
GYN Ultrasound Case Conference provides an opportunity for residents and faculty to review clinical case
scenarios in gynecology with ultrasound findings. This addresses the need to learn the use of ultrasound
imaging in the diagnosis of gynecologic diseases.

Objectives
- Understand the terms: cornual pregnancy, angular pregnancy and interstitial pregnancy. Identify and describe the ultrasound findings of interstitial ectopic pregnancy.
Understand the utility of 3-D ultrasound in the diagnosis of interstitial ectopic pregnancy. - Describe the ultrasound findings of submucous myomas. Understand the role of Saline infusion sonography and 3-D ultrasound in describing the location of a myoma.
- Understand and recognize the ultrasound findings of hematometra and hemoperitoneum.
- Review and recognize the findings of acute tube-ovarian abscess.
