Objectives

- Review the pathophysiology and triggering factors associated with malignant hyperpyrexia (MH), updating information on newer agents and adjunctive drugs




- Discuss safe anesthetic techniques for pediatric patients susceptible to malignant hyperthermia




- Discuss advantages and disadvantages of Ryanodex, a new treatment for MH




- Review diagnostic tests for MH susceptibility
