Description
OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives
1. Outline the molecular pathogenesis of high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix.
2. Review concepts that led to the discovery and deployment of p16 as a diagnostic biomarker of cervical cancer.
3. Differentiate the clinical potential of diagnostic versus prognostic and predictive biomarkers.
4. Review the discovery of keratin 17 as a cervical cancer biomarker and review key concepts regarding its impact on the hallmarks of cancer.
