Description
GYN Ultrasound Case Conference provides an opportunity for residents and faculty to review clinical case
scenarios in gynecology with ultrasound findings. This addresses the need to learn the use of ultrasound
imaging in the diagnosis of gynecologic diseases.

Objectives
1. Recognize and describe the clinical and ultrasound findings of mature teratoma/dermoid cysts.
2. Recognize and describe the appearance of normal endometrium as well as typical benign pathology including polyps and sub mucous myomas. Understand the role of SIS in diagnosis and surgical approach of same.
3. Recognize and describe the ultrasound findings of typical leiomyomas and an aborting myoma.
4. Recognize and describe normal postmenopausal endometrium as well as differential diagnosis of thickened endometrium in a postmenopausal patient.
