The Evidence for Hospital Mobility

Objectives
1. Describe physiologic changes associated with bed rest and low mobility during hospitalization for older adults.
2. Identify common barriers and facilitators for hospital mobility.
3. Summarize interventions that have been successfully used in the hospital setting to increase mobility.
