Grand Rounds Lecture on Non-Infectious Diarrhea

Objectives


Know the differential diagnosis of chronic noninfectious diarrhea
Recognize presenting signs and symptoms of functional diarrhea
Differentiate between milk protein allergy, transient lactose intolerance, and permanent lactose intolerance
Be aware of the alarm symptoms that help differentiate inflammatory bowel disease from other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome
