Description
GERD and Barretts Esophagus

Objectives
Diagnose Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Identify Alarm features.
Identify Patients at risk of Barrett's esophagus (BE).
Medical management of GERD and BE.
Understand potential adverse effects associated with use of chronic Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
Understand screening and surveillance guidelines of BE to prevent Esophageal Adenocarcinoma (EAC).
Evaluation for non-GERD causes in patients with possible extraesophageal manifestations before ascribing symptoms to GERD.
