Description

Vascular Surgery topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce resident, faculty and medical students the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Vascular Surgery including, medical problem solving, surgical skills, and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Learning objectives:

1. To discuss the treatment of deep vein thrombosis extending from the brachial vein to the subclavian vein through the application of mechanical thrombectomy.

2. To discuss the use of the Clot-Triever catheter in cases extending beyond this singular case study.

3. To understand how data from the CLOUT registry can be used to assess the safety and effectiveness of the Clot-Triever System.

4. To use the article to understand the safety and effectiveness of the Clot-Triver system in terms of thrombus removal.
