Description
Gyn/Ultrasound Case Conference provides an opportunity for residents and faculty to review clinical case scenarios and their correlation with ultrasound findings. On this basis, it addresses the need to learn the use of ultrasound imaging in the diagnosis of gynecologic diseases.
This conference is intended for OBGYN residents, fellows and faculty ONLY.
Cases will include:
- s/p mini laparotomy, paratubal cyst drainage, paratubal cystectomy, left ovarian salpingoopherectomy for ovarian torsion
- s/p laparoscopic assisted hysteroscopic myomectomy and left paratubal cyst drainage for submucosal fibroid
- s/p laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, bilateral salpingectomy, cystoscopy, lysis of adhesions for pelvic pain
- s/p Exlap, supracervical hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophroectomy for fibroids

Objectives
• To use case studies to correlate clinical history, physical examination findings and ultrasound with findings at the time of surgery and pathology. Participants should be able to interpret endovaginal and abdominal ultrasound and use it to aid in the diagnoses of common gynecological process' such as:
- Pelvic Masses
- Gynecological Malignancies
- Infectious Processes of the Female Genital Tract
- Ectopic Pregnancy
