These presentations are intended to introduce resident, faculty and medical students the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Vascular Surgery including, medical problem solving, surgical skills, and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

  • GORE thoracic branching device and indications for thoracic aortic aneurysms
  • Management of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm of an inpatient with hostile abdomen

  • Spiro Koustas, MD
    • 78 y/o female s/p EVAR March 2023 found to have a thoracic aortic aneurysm w/ Kommerell's diverticulum, now s/p right carotid-subclavian bypass w/ Dr. Virvilis scheduled for TEVAR w/ aberrant subclavian artery coil embolization/Amplatzer plug.
  • Camilo Martinez, MD
    • 82 y/o female PMH of SLE, RA, HTN, and NIDDMII, who presents with a very large abdominal mass/tumor, as well as a 6.8 cm AAA. Gyn Onc service deferring to vascular surgery for repair of AAA prior to any invasive oncologic workup or resection.
