Objectives

After the presentation, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the factors that are associated with pressure differences between open and closed ventriculostomies.
  • Describe the counter-intuitive phase relationships between the ABP pulse and the ICP pulse.
  • Describe the transfer function analysis of the ABP and ICP pulse and how it explains the phase relationships.
