Objectives

1. Provide an overview of current guidelines available for the management of blood cholesterol.
2. Review the available workup to refine the risk assessment for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease for both primary and secondary prevention.
3. Discuss the available non statin therapies and their clinical trials for management of hyperlipidemia.
4. Review management of hypertriglyceridemia.
