Objectives

  • Understand the relative strengths and weaknesses of electrophysiology (EDX) and neuromuscular ultrasound (NMUS) for assessing focal neuropathies and other neuromuscular conditions.
  • Appreciate the value of using both EDX and NMUS in the diagnosis of neuromuscular conditions.
  • Recognize imaging characteristics of relevant tissue in NMUS assessments.
  • Understand imaging techniques to optimize visualization and understanding in select neuromuscular disorders.
