Description

This CME educational event will provide attendees knowledge and information to effectively treat patients with end stage renal disease.  It will highlight various renal topics based on scientific evidence,best practices and the surgical options for hemodialysis access.  Goals are to improve quality of care, practice best standards of care and decrease complications of patients with end sage renal disease requiring hemodialysis access within the community, hemodialysis centers and tertiary hospital settings.

Objectives

  • Understand the indications for placement and complications of hemodialysis access.
  • Discuss advanced endovascular treatment options.
  • Order proper diagnostic testing, know the clinical picture of patients with end-stage renal failure and understand best treatment options.
  • Recognize signs and symptoms of complications from renal disease , prevalence of mortality rates and clinical outcomes.
