A series of cases will be used to identify laboratory workup, epidemiology, and clinical presentations of infectious diseases that present to the clinical microbiology laboratory.

Objectives
1) Identify and understand laboratory methods for the identification of various infectious diseases.
2) Correlate infectious agents and clinical conditions with their epidemiologic background.
3) Integrate clinical presentations with laboratory findings to diagnose bacterial and viral infections.
