Description
Learning different and effective ways to mitigate side effects from clozapine optimizing it's safety and efficacy.
Dates and Times
Start: 4/14/2026 11:00 AM
End: 4/14/2026 12:00 PM
Objectives
1. Understand the population that we are dealing with. This is the entire psychosis spectrum across diagnostic boundaries. The resistant psychosis population and those patients with suicidality have special relevance.
2. Understand the problem that we have dramatically poor outcomes in Schizophrenia spectrum disorders, with less than 15 % in meaningful recovery, and hundreds of thousands incarcerated and homeless. In this population we have a dramatic under use of the most effective antipsychotic Clozapine. If you fail 1 antipsychotic it is time to use clozapine.
3. Develop an understanding about how to use EASE and that using the EASE approach results in meaningful recovery in most patients.
4. Learn how to effectively mitigate side effects of clozapine and optimize it's safety and efficacy.
