Objectives
1. Describe New York’s evolving cannabis landscape, including the regulatory framework, the medical cannabis program, patterns of adult and youth use, and emerging public health trends.
2. Examine the relationship between cannabis use and youth mental health, psychosis, serious mental illness, cannabis use disorder, and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
3. Recognize the signs and symptoms of problematic cannabis use and cannabis use disorder (CUD), describe evidence-informed approaches to screening and treatment for individuals with CUD, as well as prevention efforts related to cannabis use.
