Description

We will be discussing differentials when a patient presents with numbness.

Objectives

Develop a systematic approach to evaluating a patient with acute unilateral numbness.

Use the neurologic examination and neuroimaging to identify the vascular territory involved and determine the likely stroke mechanism.

Describe the initial management and secondary prevention of ischemic stroke, including indications for reperfursion therapy and multidisciplinary care
