Objectives
After attending this lecture, participants should be able to:
-thoughtfully engage in a detailed discussion on sexual and urinary disorders with their older male patients.
- identify risk factors for sexual and urinary dysfunction in older male patients
- perform cardiac risk stratification in older male patients wishing to resume sexual activity, particularly with medical and surgical therapies
- understand the association between androgen deficiency and coronary artery disease / metabolic syndrome and the treatment strategies for older male patients with these conditions
- counsel older male patients on the most up to date prostate cancer screening strategies
