Prevention of Type 1 Diabetes

Objectives

  1. To understand the natural history of Type 1 diabetes and risk of the disease in relatives of patients
  2. To recognize achievements and limitations of therapies to treat Type 1 diabetes. 
  3. To learn the results of the teplizumab prevention trial
  4. To understand how anti-CD3 antibodies may affect immune responses that are relevant to Type 1 diabetes
