Description

Vascular Surgery topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce resident, faculty and medical students the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Vascular Surgery including, medical problem solving, surgical skills, and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

  • To discuss complications of open AAA repair
  • To discuss risk factors for failure of SFA/pop stenting
  • To discuss large AAA causing bowel obstructions

    • 79F with 6cm AAA underwent aortoiliac bypass with left renal reimplant complicated by b/l cold legs requiring return to OR for embolectomies
  • Dr. Georgios Tzavellas
    • 91M w R foot tissue loss underwent SFA/pop stenting and returned for Fem-PT bypass after stents occluded./ 81M hx of prior EVAR-known type Ib endoleak & distal graft migration presented w symptomatic 11cm expanding sac underwent cuff extension.
