Description

Surgical Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty, and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Surgery, including medical problem solving, surgical skills, and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives

1. Introducing the RECELL system and outlining the basic science and clinical supportive data.

2. Discussing the surgical and traumatic wounds and outline where the RECELL system finds into the reconstructive ladder, providing many examples of how the RECELL system has been used for patients with full-thickness skin defects.

3. Joint research data from collaboration of Department of Surgery (SBU) and AVITA Medical.
