This educational activity is designed to address current strategies mitigating maternal morbidities, such as pre-eclampsia, and optimizing neonatal health outcomes through enhanced genetic testing, improved lactation and glycemia profiles.

Objectives

  • Identify appropriate candidates for aspirin therapy during pregnancy to reduce pre-eclampsia incidence.  
  • Implement strategies to improve breastfeeding rates in obese people. 
  • Discuss important clinical issues related to neonatal hypoglycemia.
  • Implement best practices to improve lactation n NICU patients.
  • Offer patients pertinent information regarding newborn genome screening.
  • Review strategies to mitigate maternal morbidity.
