Description
OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives
1. Describe the advantages and pitfalls of Electronic Health Record (EHR)-derived patient registries.
2. Understand how a simple clinical question can be used to direct research to address gaps in knowledge in patient management.
3. Learn how research-derived algorithms can be implemented into the EHR to improve patient care.
4. Overview of initiatives to improve the clinical research infrastructure at Stony Brook.
