Description
OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

1) Understand the Scope of Emergency Medicine Practice
2) Discuss the Global Burden and Inequity in Emergency Care
3) Address how Inequity in Emergency Medicine Training and Recognition hinders health equity
4) Review current WHO and Global Initiatives to improve access to Emergency Care
5) Review the role of the field of Global Emergency Medicine in advancing the development of the specialty and address health inequities globally
6) Share the current and past work and initiatives at Stony Brook University to help develop emergency medicine globally
