1.  Depression is a heterogenous disease, with likely multiple neurobiological underpinnings. 

2 . A basic understanding of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and how it can aid in understanding depression. 

3.  PET imaging findings across multiple neurobioligical targets, including metabolism, glutamate, serotonin, inflammation and acetylcholine
