Objectives

1. Provide an overview of Breast Cancer Epidemiology with attention to screening breast imaging and the role it plays in trends in Breast Cancer incidence and survival ​
2. Define different levels of risk for Breast Cancer and review current guidelines for Breast Cancer surveillance for females at an average and at elevated risk​
3. Discuss new approaches to risk assessment and perspectives on personalized rather than general screening recommendations​
4. Breast Cancer screening in special populations: elderly and transgender patients ​
5. Review novel breast imaging techniques and their use at Stony Brook for monitoring response to treatment in patients with breast cancer​
