Objectives
- Identify appropriate clinical indications for referral to an advanced endoscopist for
minimally invasive treatment options.
- Evaluate the paradigm shift that interventional endoscopy has caused in the
management of specific conditions, such as achalasia, pancreatic fluid collections, and
early-stage malignancies
- Recognize the ongoing evolution of interventional endoscopy as a distinct, specialized
sub-specialty within internal medicine
