Objectives
- Define/classify OA and recognize when it’s use is appropriate
- Choose a temporary abdominal closure (TAC) strategy that maximizes early fascial closure
- Apply a closure algorithm (early primary closure → traction-assisted closure → planned ventral hernia / reconstruction)
- Understand key complications (ACS/IAH, EAF, loss of domain)
